Students that show interest in listed opportunities are prompted to earn badges showing that they have interacted with a specific opportunity or that they have reached one of Breakthru’s in-app milestones. Students like earning badges to show their progress or achievements. Earning a badge tells a student that they have achieved a goal! It’s a boost of accomplishment that can help students feel good about themselves, while learning something new that can help them in the future (plus a micro-payment).

Forage creates employment opportunities for students including Virtual Internships with Red Bull, Lululemon, Lyft. CollegeXpress is helping students receive financial support by adding scholarship opportunities and college resources to Breakthru. Front Office Sports allows college students free access to information based tools to learn more about the intersection between sports and business. There are opportunities for everyone to learn from professionals while earning from professionals.

For example, if a student shows interest in an opportunity created by Forage such as working with Sales at Red Bull, they will earn a Forage badge which is worth $0.30. If students are interested in a scholarship opportunity from CollegeXpress, they will earn $0.50. Students interested in Front Office Sports’ information-based tools will earn $0.25.
